Memory Lane

There’s a tree outside my bedroom window

It’s grown so incredibly high

And then one day, out the blue

A working man I never knew

He walks my yard, he reaches high

And cuts this tree out of the sky

Oh, where the hell did we all go wrong

Now when I look outside my bedroom window

I feel just like the view

Cause every day, out the blue

There’s someone I never knew

Who walks my heart and beats me down

And rubs my pieces into the ground

Oh, where the hell did we all go wrong

Oh, I’ve got to find me a plane to..

Long gone are the days

Where friends were easily made

Find me the way to Memory Lane

Now always we’re betrayed

The threats are easily made

Find me the way to Memory Lane

A piece of that tree sits by my window

In the corner of my living room

I hope one day that it grows

And it feels safe inside my home

And maybe then I’ll believe

That there’s a place out there for me

Oh, where the hell did we all go wrong

Oh, I’ve got to find me a way to..

Long gone are the days

Where friends were easily made

Find me the way to Memory lane

Now always we’re betrayed

The threats are easily made

Find me the way to Memory lane

Where the hell did we all go wrong

Where the hell did it all go wrong

Cause every day, out the blue

I find myself thinking of you

Where the hell did it all go wrong
